Outfitted with protective helmets, you will ride an old mine train 150 meters into the tunnel. Once there, you will learn interesting facts about mining. What tools were needed for copper mining? What methods were used? What were the working conditions like back then? These and many other questions will be answered. In addition, you will learn general information about the mining history of Tyrol.
After the original mine in Jochberg was shut down, it underwent intensive renovations, once again opening its doors, this time to the general public, in 1990, promising a unique experience below ground. Children can also look forward to a playground, where they will be able to have a great time once the tour is over.
A visit to the Kupferplatte mine is always sure to be a successful trip - for the whole family, and no matter what the weather outside!
